Internally, we call this position Head of Product Management for our tesa North America Air & Waterproofing (AWP) business unit. This position is responsible for defining and leading the end-to-end product and system strategy for the AWP business unit. This role owns;
  • The product and system portfolio vision
  • The 3-year product and platform roadmap
  • The translation of market needs, installation realities and durability requirements into scalable offerings

In this critical leadership role, you will oversee market strategy, product innovation, and marketing, and drive business development in collaboration with our technical teams to position tesa/AWP as a full system solution provider, top innovator and trusted partner in the construction industry.
How you'll help the formula:
  • Own the Product & System Strategy - define portfolio architecture
  • Lead the 3-Year Product & Platform Roadmap - prioritize initiatives based on strategic value, system pull through and durability requirements
  • Translate Market & Field Insights into Product Direction - ensure voice-of-installer and field observations are reflected in product requirements
  • Partner with R&D and Operations - inform and solicit alignment for investment
  • Enable Commercial Execution
  • Governance, Lifecycle & Portfolio Discipline - own platform utilization, SKU simplification and margin control
  • Other duties as assigned

Key elements for your role:
  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of applicable experience required
  • 8+ years in product management, product strategy, or portfolio leadership
  • 8+ years in building materials, construction systems or industrial solutions
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-product portfolios, platform-based development and cross-functional teams
  • Up to 30% travel domestically, valid license and passport required
  • Building envelope systems (WRB, air barriers, flashing, waterproofing); preferred
  • Standards and acceptance criteria knowledge (AAMA 711, AC38, ASTM frameworks); preferred
  • Comfort operating at executive level
