Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, optimizing transportation and distribution processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

This role involves hands-on management, team leadership, coordination with internal departments and external partners, and continuous improvement of logistics processes to meet company goals.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead and support the daily operations of the Southbound logistics team (currently 45 team members), ensuring workflows are executed efficiently, accurately, and in line with service expectations.
  • Coordinate and monitor daily transportation, shipping, and receiving activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and service-focused execution.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and delivery in alignment with customer and business requirements.
  • Be a hands-on leaderfully trained and knowledgeable in each team members role to provide direct support or coverage when someone is away, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and development by providing regular coaching, mentorship, and one-on-one check-ins.
  • Collaborate with HR on staffing and onboarding processes, and take ownership of integrating and supporting new team members from an operational standpoint.
  • Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to identify trends, address gaps, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Assist in managing logistics budgets, controlling costs, and negotiating rates with service providers.
  • Prepare reports on logistics performance, productivity, and team metrics for review with leadership.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain workflow consistency and compliance.
  • Participate actively in strategic planning and operational initiativesbringing forward ideas to streamline workflows, solve problems, and drive innovation.
  • Travel occasionally to U.S. terminals (approx. 17 locations) to support rollouts, audit processes, and strengthen site-level execution. Most trips range from 13 days, as needed.
  • Serve as the primary on-site operations contact and decision-maker in the absence of the VP of Operations, with the potential to take on additional team oversight as the business grows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as warehouse, procurement, and customer service, as well as with external carriers and partners.
  • Work a standard shift (9:00 AM 6:00 PM with a 1-hour break), while maintaining flexibility to adjust hours or respond outside standard times based on operational demands.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety policies, company procedures, and transportation regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics systems, transportation management, and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a Fast-paced logistics environment requiring flexibility and adaptability.
