Effervescent Consulting is building a nationwide talent community of experienced Workday professionals for upcoming implementation, optimization, post-production support and staff augmentation engagements.


We are pursuing multiple Workday programs across state and local government, higher education, healthcare and commercial organizations. Opportunities may include remote, hybrid and onsite assignments and may be offered on a W-2 or independent consulting basis, depending on the engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending on the assigned role, responsibilities may include:

• Lead or support Workday discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment and stabilization activities
• Translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions
• Configure assigned Workday functional areas and business processes
• Design integrations, reports, security models or conversion processes
• Facilitate client workshops and communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders
• Diagnose production issues and recommend sustainable solutions rather than temporary fixes
• Support tenant management, release readiness, regression testing and deployment planning
• Produce configuration workbooks, test scripts, SOPs, training materials and operational runbooks
• Mentor client personnel and provide structured knowledge transfer
• Estimate effort, identify delivery risks and manage assigned scope and milestones
• Contribute accurate qualifications, project descriptions and availability information for public-sector and commercial proposals


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• At least three years of hands-on Workday experience for consultant-level positions and seven years for lead or architect positions
• Meaningful delivery experience in at least one Workday specialty listed above
• Participation in at least one full Workday implementation, major optimization or complex post-production engagement
• Ability to clearly distinguish hands-on configuration or development responsibilities from coordination and support responsibilities
• Strong client-facing communication, documentation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to provide accurate project dates, client information and role details for experience verification
• Authorization to work in the United States for the engagement model specified for an individual opportunity
• Willingness to complete background checks or client-specific compliance requirements when required

HIGHLY PREFERRED

• Current or previously held Workday certifications that can be independently substantiated
• Multiple full-lifecycle Workday implementations
• State or local government, public healthcare or higher-education experience
• Experience with complex payroll, grants, union, academic, healthcare or public-sector operating environments
• Experience serving as a functional lead, technical lead, solution architect or workstream owner
• Strong references from Workday clients, partners or program leadership
• Willingness to travel or work onsite when required by a client
• Experience supporting RFP responses, demonstrations, oral presentations or solution-estimation activities
