QUALITY CONTROL & COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST
Full-Time | $35-45/hr
Temporary assignment. 

POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Control & Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance documentation for products used in the wine, cider, and specialty beverage industries. This role supports multiple warehouse locations, customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain Food Safety programs in accordance with HACCP, FSMA, FDA, TTB, and company SOPs.
  • Prepare and maintain customer compliance documentation, including COAs, Organic, Kosher, and third-party audit certifications.
  • Conduct routine Food Safety verification activities and recommend improvements.
  • Monitor products for quality issues, abnormalities, expired inventory, and non-conformances.
  • Support customers with documentation for certifications and audits.
  • Maintain FDA, California Department of Public Health, and other regulatory registrations.
  • Stay current on applicable food, beverage, wine, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain quality and compliance records using company ERP and CRM systems.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Process orders and transactions as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Food Safety, HACCP, and/or wine industry experience required.
  • Knowledge of FDA, FSMA, TTB, and regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, ERP, and CRM systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Combination of office and home-office environment. May occasionally require visits to warehouse locations.

Ideal Candidate: A detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated professional with hands-on experience in wine/food compliance, food safety, HACCP, and regulatory documentation.
