Job Description
Nyack Public Schools is now accepting applications for aClerk-Typist Substitute.
The ideal candidate will have a solid working knowledge of general office practices, procedures, terminology, and equipment, and should be comfortable using technology. Substitute clerical staff are hired based on the District's staffing needs; applicants will be contacted directly as openings arise.
This role is well-suited for someone who can thrive in a fast-paced school office environment. Familiarity with Google Workspace (Sheets, Gmail, Calendar, and Docs) is a plus but not required.
This is a temporary position. Civil Service list eligibility is helpful but not required. It is an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand experience and expand your knowledge in a school-based setting.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of office procedures, can manage multi-tasking and a great team attitude
Other Requirements and Information:
Temporary position 8:00am - 4:00pm (one hour lunch)
Salary and Benefits:
Salary and benefits are competitive with the public sector market including but not limited to the following:
$19-$24 per hour (based on experience) (as of 09/04/2026)
35-hour work week
