Internal Communications Specialist

Role overview

DUAL North America is seeking a temporary Internal Communications Specialist to support our team from September 2026 to January 2027.

Role responsibilities

Owns media relations, including building and maintaining relationships with journalists and identifying proactive media opportunities

Drafts and distributes press releases, and support executive thought leadership content and interviews

Plans, writes, and distributes internal communications, including executive updates, newsletters, and leadership messaging

Partners with HR and business leaders to align internal communications around key company initiatives, onboarding, and employee engagement

Drives adoption and engagement of internal communications platforms (e.g., Viva Engage)

Supports crisis and issues communications as needed

Manages social media content planning, creation, and distribution, and monitor brand sentiment across channels

Tracks and report on media placements and internal communications engagement metrics

Collaborates with the Creative Marketing Specialist and Digital Marketing Specialist to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communications channels

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

3+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or internal communications, ideally within financial services, insurance, or a related B2B industry

Excellent written, verbal and client-facing communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Ability to follow policies and procedures

Self-motivated with strong attention to detail

Travel required up to 10% of the time

Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the workday to perform tasks in a remote, home-office setting.
