Position: Environmental Services Coordinator (EVS Technician)
Facility: Berkshire Medical Center
Location: 725 North Street, Pittsfield, MA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: June 16, 2025
Shift: Days – 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Pay Rate: 23/hr
Local Rate:20/hr (for candidates residing within 50 miles)
 
Job Summary:
Berkshire Medical Center is seeking an experienced Environmental Services (EVS) Coordinator for a full-time, 13-week contract assignment. The EVS Coordinator will be responsible for performing scheduled and on-demand cleaning, minor repairs, equipment transport, and maintaining a clean and safe environment throughout the hospital.
 
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of relevant EVS experience
Ability to follow instructions, perform repetitive duties, and maintain a high level of quality and professionalism
Strong communication skills (written and verbal in English)
Must have own transportation (required)
CPI certification required for assignments in BHU and Emergency Dept (can be completed after offer)
COVID vaccination dated on or after 10/3/2023 is required (or approved exemption with masking at all times)

Additional Information:
Non-billable orientation: 8 hours

OT and holiday rates paid at 1.25x

Requirement description :
This is an EVS Coordinator Position!  
3yrs of relevant experience
Proven ability to perform duties and tasks in accordance with established standards.
CPI required for staff assigned to BHU and Emergency Dept (will pend after offer)
The ability to use communication devices such as telephones, pagers, etc. required
The ability to read and write English, and to communicate effectively required
Traveler must have their own vehicle.  This is a firm requirement.
