Job description

SEASONAL GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE WORKER I

HIRING RANGE: $16.00 PER HOUR

About the Position:
Work at one of the City's beautiful golf courses this season!  The City of Grand Junction is searching for Golf Course Maintenance Workers, or groundskeepers, to maintain Lincoln Park, a 9-hole course in the center of the City, and Tiara Rado, an 18-hole course at the base of the Colorado National Monument.

The workday for this position begins at 6:00 AM.

What You'll Do:

  • Various types of mowing
  • String trimming
  • Trash collection
  • Various hand tool work
  • Bunker work
  • Minor building cleaning

This position is a safety-sensitive position, which means you will be subject to random drug screens due to the nature of the work performed. 

What We're Looking For:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Applicants must be able to successfully pass a drug screen, background check, and, if required for the specific position, a physical examination. 
  • Ability to work in all types of weather, including high temperatures in direct sunlight while standing, walking, and/or kneeling
  • Ability to go from one task to another efficiently
  • A team-oriented approach to work
  • Consistent positive attitude and willingness to complete all types of tasks
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work at 6:00 AM
  • Valid driver's license.
