These skills ensure effective teaching, continuity of learning, and positive student experiences despite the temporary nature of the role.

What are temporary teachers?

Temporary teachers are educators hired for a limited period to fill short-term teaching needs, such as covering for regular teachers on leave, addressing enrollment surges, or working on specific projects. They may work in various educational settings, including primary, secondary, or higher education institutions. Temporary teachers often have the same qualifications as permanent teachers but do not have long-term contracts and may not receive the same benefits. Their roles and responsibilities typically mirror those of full-time teachers, including lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment.
