Job description

OverviewWorking in one of Suncadia Resort's restaurants, The Source or the Stovehouse, the Line Cook III supports daily kitchen operations by preparing highquality dishes in accordance with Suncadia standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines. This role maintains a clean, organized, and fully stocked line while monitoring food quality, rotation, and safety procedures. The Line Cook III coordinates orders across stations, assists with inventory and equipment care, and collaborates with the culinary team to ensure smooth service. As a more experienced Cook, position may also train new staff as directed by Culinary leadership.

Salary: $25.00 per hour

 

This is a Seasonal position with targeted start and end dates:

  • Season Start: February 2026
  • Season End: October 31, 2026

Hours will fluctuate as business levels rise and fall throughout the season. Peak season, with the most hours, is typically May - October.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with executive chef or supervisor daily about operations
  • Assist with ordering and maintaining par levels
  • Maintain and stock the set-up of the line
  • Prepare food according to restaurant quality standards
  • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation
  • Maintain professional guest relations
  • Set up, restock, maintain, and clean food preparation line
  • Prepare food as ordered and according to Suncadia standards
  • Coordinate all orders between stations and food service personnel
  • Monitor food quality and rotation
  • Assist with other stations as directed
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area
  • Maintain resort kitchen equipment
  • Prepare food in accordance with pre-established preparation times
  • Prepare food in accordance with working menus, recipe cards, and photograph standards
  • Display understanding of sanitary food handling techniques
  • Display knowledge of safe operation of kitchen equipment
  • Display understanding of Suncadia appearance standards
  • Attend all mandatory meetings
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor, to include cross training
Qualifications
  • 5+ years previous food preparation experience
  • Basic Knife Skills;
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Able to communicate well with staff and customer
  • Active Food Handler's permit or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to read and communicate through written menu requirements
  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work well with others and function well in a fast paced environment
