A temporary software developer can work on one facet of a project, such as testing or coding a specific process. Developers sometimes specialize in working with one computer language, although knowledge of multiple coding languages is beneficial in this career.

We invest in your success through career growth initiatives and a culture that values diversity, creating a space of belonging for all our team members.
The role - Mobile Developer:
We are seeking a Mobile Developer to join Zions Bancorporation. The Mobile Developer plays a key role in developing and supporting multi-platform mobile and internet applications, ensuring both functional and non-functional usability requirements are met. This position is responsible for analysis, object-oriented design, coding, testing, documentation, production implementation, and maintenance of applications. You will contribute to database design, system testing, and deployment routines for multiple environments, while keeping abreast of in-house and third-party products. The role also involves after-hours support for code deployments and general support, as well as contributing to design considerations for new products and architectural changes. Building relationships with cross-functional teams and recognizing interdependencies that foster value creation across the enterprise are essential aspects of this role.

This Mobile Developer position is currently NOT eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa). This includes, for example, situations where a candidate may have temporary work authorization while enrolled in school or upon graduation (e.g., CPT, OPT) but would need H-1B visa sponsorship within a few years of employment in order to maintain employment eligibility.
Responsibilities:

  • Design databases and conduct system testing for application reliability.
  • Create deployment routines to configure software for multiple environments.
  • Maintain awareness of in-house and third-party products and technologies.
  • Ensure usability requirements are met for all applications.
  • Provide after-hours support for code deployments and general support.
  • Contribute to design considerations for new products and architectural changes.
  • Establish and adhere to mobile development standards and practices.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams and recognize interdependencies across the business.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience with multi-platform mobile and web development, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Extensive knowledge of mobile and web application frameworks (e.g., Flutter, GraphQL, jQuery, Angular, JavaScript, Node).
  • Proficiency in mobile/web UI technologies (e.g., SwiftUI, HTML5, CSS3) and mobile programming languages (e.g., Kotlin, Swift).
  • Experience with mobile testing/mock tooling and CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub, GitHub Actions).
  • Working knowledge of GitOps, DevOps, secure software development lifecycles, MSSQL, database systems, and cache (e.g., Hibernate, Spring).
  • Strong data modeling concepts and integrated application development methodology.
  • Effective debugging, problem-solving, and testing skills.
  • Analysis and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, handle multiple concurrent projects, and adapt to changing technology and priorities.
  • Financial or banking services experience is a plus.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

Location:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
