Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Supervisor – Reactive Cleaning is responsible for managing multiple reactive chemical cleaning projects in

accordance with JP Services standards across a variety of customer sites. This role ensures strict adherence to approved

procedures, provides leadership and oversight to field personnel, and serves as the primary point of contact for customer

interactions. The Supervisor must promptly communicate any deviations, safety concerns, or operational issues to

management.


JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational & Technical Oversight

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of reactive chemical cleaning processes, basic system setups, and overall
  • operations.
  • Understand the operation, capabilities, and limitations of cleaning equipment.
  • Lead execution of reactive chemical cleaning projects in accordance with approved procedures and project
  • scope.
  • Provide onsite project management support, including procedure reviews and planning execution.
  • Support mechanical temporary fitting installation as required.

Safety & Compliance

  • Drive strict adherence to safety policies, procedures, and job-specific requirements.
  • Lead Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and daily toolbox meetings.
  • Ensure crews review and bring the correct job book onsite prior to job execution.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise field personnel to ensure compliance with procedures, schedules, and customer expectations.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members to improve performance and safety awareness.
  • Create and manage effective shift turnover documentation.

Project Coordination & Documentation

  • Develop schedules and provide job status updates as required.
  • Maintain accurate and current job-logs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create daily job tickets detailing equipment, manpower, and chemistry utilized.
  • Provide customers with QR codes for post job reports.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure travel and lodging requests are completed prior to mobilization.

Customer & Business Support

  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for customer communications.
  • Assist with additional job site functions as required by the customer or management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Support other service lines during division slow periods, as needed.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience overseeing large scale reactive chemical cleaning projects.
  • Strong understanding of reactive chemical cleaning operations and project execution.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, Bluebeam, PFDs, ISOs, and other engineering schematics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite, including scheduling and documentation tools.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create, understand, and manage project schedules.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder height, bend below the waist, and position equipment as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., including overhead lifting, using proper lifting techniques.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Frequent exposure to chemical and environmental dust, fumes, exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.
  • Appropriate respiratory protective equipment will be provided when required.
  • Occasional work in extreme climate conditions, including:
  • High heat (95°F+ heat index with high humidity)
  • Subzero temperatures, depending on geographic location
  • Noise levels frequently exceed 85 dBA; hearing protection is required.
