Customer Service Specialist  Job Description:

PrideStaff is currently working with a growing e-commerce company, specializing in curated travel-sized and trial-sized products for both retail and wholesale clients, who are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join their team. The Customer Service Specialist will be working with clients including major corporations, non-profit organizations, and individual consumers who expect efficient, high-quality service. The ideal Customer Service Specialist has good communication skills, is detail-oriented, and is passionate about providing excellent customer service with a company that values your contributions and initiatives.  The Customer Service Specialist is a full-time, temporary role in Newbury Park, CA. 


Customer Service Specialist Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond to Customer Inquiries via Email & Phone with Professionalism & a Customer-First Attitude
  • Support Clients with Order Modifications, Including Cancellations, Address Changes, or Item Substitutions
  • Process Returns, Exchanges & Refunds in a Timely & Accurate Manner
  • Communicate with Customers About Out-of-Stock or Delayed Items & Other Appropriate Alternatives
  • Utilize Shipping Software to Verify & Reformat Addresses, Print Shipping Labels & Ensure Timely Dispatch
  • Accurately Enter & Track Customer Data for Billing & Service Purposes
  • Assist with General Administrative & Clerical Tasks to Support the Department
  • Attend Staff Meetings, Provide Updates on Customer Issues & Contribute Ideas for Service Improvements
  • Proactively Identify Potential Service Issues & Escalate when Necessary
  • Take Ownership of your role, Ensuring Responsibilities are met Without Direct Supervision


 Customer Service Specialist Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required 
  • Must Have Experience Using Shopify or Other E-Commerce Platforms as well as Microsoft Excel
  • Previous Experience in a Customer Service or Fulfillment Role is Required
  • Familiarity with Shipping Platforms is a Must
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal & Written)
  • Must be Punctual & Reliable
  • Detail-oriented with the Ability to Spot Inconsistencies & Ensure Every Order is Processed Correctly
  • Excellent Problem Solving Skills - Ability to Think Critically & Find Creative Solutions when Issues Arise
  • Must be Able to Work Independently & be Able to Collaborate & Communicate with Teammates
