Our customer is looking to hire a Security Engineer to support FedRAMP in their environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Continuous Monitoring & Vulnerability Management:
Monitor and track vulnerabilities within applications, ensuring adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Conduct regular reviews of vulnerability reports to identify new issues and assess their impact.
Collaborate with asset teams to review vulnerability statuses, confirm action plans, and ensure timely remediation.
Track change numbers for vulnerability fixes to anticipate potential SLA breaches.
Manage FedRAMP-specific vulnerability management, ensuring all activities align with federal compliance standards.
FedRAMP Compliance & Authorization to Operate (ATO) Support:
Assist in the Authorization to Operate (ATO) process by collecting and submitting required artifacts and evidence to federal sponsors.
Interpret and translate complex FedRAMP requirements for asset teams, providing clear guidance on applicability.
Stay informed of evolving FedRAMP program requirements and regulatory changes through participation in government calls.
Identify potential impacts of upcoming changes and work with program managers to integrate new requirements.
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement:
Ensure internal teams adhere to responsibilities to prevent findings from government audits.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration for security compliance.
Provide clear explanations to asset teams regarding FedRAMP requirements.
Generate and submit monthly reports to the FedRAMP PMO.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport and effectively interacting with diverse stakeholders.
Proactive in seeking answers and retaining information, demonstrating a continuous learning mindset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to a dynamic work environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cary, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
