Location: Medford, Oregon

$21.00 Per Hour**2nd Shifts Available**

Weekend and holiday availability is required

Applicants need to be flexible with their schedule and willing to work weekends, day, evenings, overnights and holidays, if needed. 

The ideal candidate must hold a DPSST Private Security Certification issued by the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST).

 

We are seeking a reliable and customerfocused Unarmed Retail Security Officer to provide safety, security, and exceptional service at a highvolume fastfood location.

This role is ideal for individuals who excel in a fastpaced environment, maintain strong situational awareness, and can confidently support both staff and guests.

 Security Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories, warehouses, retail and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.  An auxiliary officer is expected to be adaptable and ready to cover shifts, provide temporary security coverage, or fill in for other officers when needed.Schedule & Work Environment:
  • Fastpaced retail/restaurant setting
  • Indoor and outdoor patrols may be required
  • Second shifts available, including evenings and weekends
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a visible security presence to deter unwanted activity and promote a safe environment
  • Monitor customer flow, dining areas, parking lots, and surrounding property
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, or safety concerns in a calm and professional manner
  • Support store management with policy enforcement and conflict deescalation
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activity reports accurately
  • Assist customers and employees with general inquiries and safetyrelated needs
  • Communicate effectively with management, law enforcement, and security leadership when required

Qualifications:

  • At least 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of security experience. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have DPSST Private Security Certification.
  • Prior security, customer service, or retail experience preferred
  • Familiarity with report writing
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong communication and deescalation skills
  • Ability to remain professional and composed in hightraffic or stressful situations
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
  • Comfortable with outdoor environment in diverse weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment background check.
