This is a role consisting of 2 Swing & 3 Day Shifts

(Full Time 40hrs)

United Security Services, Inc., a national security company, which is owned and operated by retired law enforcement personnel, is seeking professional full-time officer for two locations in Vancouver, Washington


Security Officer Job Responsibilities:

  • Patrol guest areas for suspicious activities and unauthorized people
  • Perform a variety of security checks and follow post orders as directed by the establishment
  • Investigate incidents and create reports by recording observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities
  • Have a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Fire extinguisher/Safety Equipment Inspections.
  • Patrol all areas of the buildings (door checks/stairwells) and exterior (parking garages/building perimeters).
  • Other responsibilities as needed

Schedule Available:

Sunday & Mondays: Off work
Tue & Wed: 230pm to 1030pm
Thur, Fri & Sat: 630am to 230pm.

$24 per hour

Target start date: ASAP.

Security Officer Requirements:

▪ Drug testing per federal guidelines and backgrounds checks at time of hiring.

▪ 1 year of certified security experience.

▪ Must have an unarmed security license with the State of Washington (DOL)

▪ Valid driver’s license

▪ Proficient in interacting, communicating, and working with customers and staff.

▪ Availability and flexibility to work any day, including weekends and holidays, and any work shift based on the operational needs of the client.

▪ Able to stand and walk for 8 hours.

▪ Must be able to work independently or with a partner.

▪ Capable of lifting and carrying reasonable weight.


Security Officer Preferred Skills:

▪ Knowledgeable in the key aspects of private security including, but not limited to: Handling security tasks, responding to emergencies, preparing, and reviewing incident reports, reviewing CCTV footage, monitoring Intrusion Detection System, alarms, access controls, fire alarms, elevators, alarms.

▪ Experienced with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn security software applications.

▪ Experience with guard touring systems (RFID, Tours, Tasks, Reports, notifications).

▪ Also certified in Oregon as an unarmed security professional with DPSST.

▪ CPR certification.
