Position Information Posting Number PG195469TM Position Number 11ASO3556 Position Type Temporary Essential Job Duties Temporary employee will be part of the cotton breeding and genetics research team. Duties include:
  • Making crosses in the field
  • Selfing cotton flowers in the field
  • Harvesting, ginning and acid delinting cotton samples
  • Seed preparation for storage
  • Planting and helping to grow plants in the greenhouse and fields
  • Perform day-to-day activities of greenhouse care and maintenance
  • Assist post docs, grad students and research specialist while collecting phenotypic data and tissue samples from the greenhouses and cotton fields
  • Perform lab based analyses including DNA isolation
