Join Humana's Growth Team and help build innovative Salesforce solutions that support senior-focused primary care services. The Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting Salesforce Sales Cloud and Health Cloud applications, leveraging OmniStudio, Apex, Flows, and AI-enabled technologies to enhance agent experiences and drive business growth. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a fast-growing healthcare environment.
Hybrid schedule with at least one in-office day per week required. Candidates may be based near any of the following locations: Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Washington, DC; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Louisville, KY; Nashville, TN; New York, NY; or Tampa, FL.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce Sales Cloud and Health Cloud solutions using OmniStudio (OmniScripts), Apex, Flows, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Build custom applications, workflows, automations, and user interfaces that support sales and enrollment processes.
  • Develop and support integrations between Salesforce and external platforms, including MuleSoft and Azure.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Salesforce Leads, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Lead and participate in code reviews, design discussions, pair programming, troubleshooting, and debugging activities.
  • Develop and execute testing strategies, support SIT/UAT efforts, and resolve defects to ensure application stability and performance.
  • Support production deployments, incident management, root cause analysis, and post-production validation activities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, test plans, user guides, and knowledge transfer materials in Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Contribute to the adoption of emerging Salesforce and AI technologies, including Einstein capabilities and other AI-enabled solutions.
  • Follow development standards and best practices to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable Salesforce applications.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing software applications.
  • 3+ years of Salesforce development experience.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Health Cloud.
  • Proficiency with OmniStudio (OmniScripts), Apex, Salesforce Flows, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations, preferably using MuleSoft.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Passion for improving customer and consumer experiences through technology.
  • Salesforce certifications preferred, including one or more of:
    • Salesforce Administrator
    • Platform Developer
    • Sales Cloud Consultant
    • Service Cloud Consultant
    • Health Cloud Certification
    • OmniStudio Consultant
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with Azure and enterprise integration architectures.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and leading technical discussions.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry processes and Salesforce Health Cloud implementations.
  • Experience working with AI-enabled Salesforce tools and technologies.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$106,900 - $147,000 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
