Job description

Summary
The Engineer for Maintenance Team will be responsible for troubleshooting and programming robot application, conveyor system, equipment and process/equipment monitoring systems.
Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
Preventive Maintenance:
  • Develop and implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) processes.
  • Create and manage maintenance activities in the SAP system.
  • Design and implement maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Perform regular inspections, lubrication, calibration, and adjustments on machinery and equipment.
  • Identify potential issues and conduct proactive maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
  • Analyze machine downtime logs on a daily basis and develop plans to reduce downtime (MTTR).
  • Create and implement plans to improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).

Troubleshooting and Repair:
  • Diagnose and repair faults in machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of machine failures and prepare detailed failure reports.
  • Provide both temporary and permanent solutions to the technician team for machine failures.
  • Respond swiftly to machine failures to minimize production downtime.
  • Perform corrective and emergency repairs to restore equipment to full functionality.
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs across three types of production lines.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for improvement in production efficiency and equipment performance.
  • Implement modifications to enhance machine reliability, improve performance, and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize processes.

Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the production, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure smooth operation.
  • Provide technical support and training to operators on proper machine handling and maintenance procedures.
  • Manage GR (Goods Receipt) and GI (Goods Issue) in the SAP system.
  • Create emergency contact procedures for each machine failure.
  • Emergency contact centre up and running(internal reporting & internal and external technical support)

Cost Management:
  • Assist in managing budgets for maintenance activities and spare parts inventory.
  • Identify cost-effective solutions for repairs, maintenance, and equipment upgrades.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience with manufacturing maintenance
  • Hand on experience with troubleshooting

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of machinery, electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and automation processes.
  • Previous experience in maintenance engineering or a technical role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks to achieve timely results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • Automated serial production line
  • Yaskawa robot experience
  • Experience with SAP and MES.
  • Experience with PLC especially siemens

Working Conditions
  • 70% on the production floor, 30% in the office
  • Extensive walking and standing on the production floor
  • Occasional bending and stooping

After completing a temporary period on 1st shift, this position will shift to 2nd shift
