Position Summary:

Bow Robotics is seeking a skilled and motivated Robotics Technician to support both in-shop and field service operations. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting complex automation systems, and working directly with customers to resolve equipment issues.

The Robotics Technician will play a critical role in maintaining, repairing, and supporting industrial robotic systems used in manufacturing environments. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced automation technologies while contributing to the success of our customers and the continued growth of Bow Robotics.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of industrial robotic systems and automation equipment

  • Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance

  • Travel to customer facilities to perform service, repair, installation, startup, and support activities

  • Assist with robotic system commissioning, testing, and validation activities

  • Collaborate with operations and service teams to prioritize, schedule, and complete customer service requests

  • Document service activities, repairs, maintenance records, and technical findings using Microsoft Office and internal reporting systems

  • Maintain effective communication with customers regarding equipment status, repair recommendations, and project updates

  • Provide professional technical support while representing Bow Robotics at customer sites

  • Follow all company safety policies, customer site requirements, and industry best practices

  • Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development initiatives

  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications Desired:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of two (2) years of mechanical, electrical, technical, or industrial maintenance experience, or related technical education

  • ABB robot experience

  • Forklift Certification or Experience

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting aptitude

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail

  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel as required

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of industrial maintenance, automation, or robotics experience

  • Experience programming industrial robots

  • PLC programming and troubleshooting experience

  • Experience working with machine vision or vision-guided robotic systems

  • EMMT, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, or related technical certification

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, automation, or industrial production environments

  • Work Environment: This position is performed in combination of warehouse and customer site environments supporting robotics service, repair, rebuild, and automation projects. Use of PPE including safety glasses, steel toe footwear, hearing protection, gloves, and other protective equipment as needed.

Position Classification 

This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position. Depending on the needs of the business, the ability to work more than 40 hours/week and/or weekends may be required.
