Schedule

3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) with weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality critical care to our patients. This role requires specialized expertise in managing patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures and challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for post-sternotomy patients.
  • Manage and monitor patients on ECMO and other advanced cardiovascular support devices.
  • Responsible for arterial line placement, central line management, and ventilator care.
  • Administer medications and blood products as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and document patient responses and care provided.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVICU.
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
  • Must have experience with arterial line management, ventilator management, and central venous pressure monitoring.
  • EMR experience with Epic is required.
