Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Keyser, West Virginia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Emergency Room (10-bed max capacity) averaging 30 patients per day
  • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4, working as one of two RNs staffed 24/7, with a third RN in Triage from 11a–11p
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management
  • Manage a broad range of emergency presentations including CVAs, cardiac events, and general ER cases of mild to severe acuity
  • Operate and monitor Phillips hard-wired telemetry, central station, and portable monitoring equipment (Physio-Control); manage occasional ventilator patients including BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow
  • Participate in every-other-weekend rotation (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday considered weekend shifts) and adhere to the facility holiday schedule rotation
Required Qualifications
  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license; any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • NIHSS certification required (facility is actively pursuing Stroke Designation)
  • Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver's license with application
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior Emergency Room nursing experience with exposure to a wide acuity range of patients
  • Experience with EPIC EMR
  • Familiarity with ventilator management, BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow oxygen therapy
  • Comfort working in a smaller, community-based ER environment with a collaborative, cross-functional team
