Job description

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  •  Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
  •  Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, laundry room, locker  rooms and other work areas.
  • Sweeps, scrubs, mops,  waxes, and polishes floor s and stairways.
  • Dusts furniture and equipment, vacuum carpets.
  • Polishes metalwork, cleans tiles and saddles.
  • Washes wall and woodwork.
  • Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empties wastebaskets
  • Clean vacant apartments as required
  •  Check compactor , remove full compactor garbage bags and put out for pick up per schedule.  Sweep, mop and disinfect compactor room.
  •  Replenishes bathroom supplies.
  •  Replaces light bulbs.
  •  Clean garage, basement area and grounds
  •  Shovels snow and clears walkways in winter
  •  Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned or needed

Education and/or Experience                                                   

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
