Job description

Position Description
Performs coordinative work in the business or administrative operation of a specific department or college. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a department as well as monitoring operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise staff or student assistants.
Major/Essential Functions
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable (purchase orders, vendor payments, purchasing card reconciliations, interdepartmental transfers, invoice collection, deposits, etc.).
  • Manage departmental personnel matters (onboarding paperwork, payroll, travel, temp labor timesheets, event labor reports and other related items).
  • Assist with budgetary matters (annual budget prep, encumbrances, budget revisions, track revenues, expenditures and event-specific expenses, related reports and duties as needed).
  • Manage arena front desk reception, supervising front desk student assistants, and assisting guests and callers. Perform general clerical duties, maintaining records, bookkeeping, placing equipment & supply orders and other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding and knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles, account payables, receivables, and managing files and records.
  • Experience with payroll and personnel documents.
  • Knowledge and experience with the TTU Cognos, A&F Work Tools, TechBuy and other TTU administrative systems a plus.
  • Ability to keep pace with a fast-moving operation, adapting to event-driven changes and needs.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills, with particular attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or progressively responsible related experience to equal six (6) years.

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
