Job description

As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead the strategic vision, architecture, and governance of business process transformation. You will be responsible for defining the comprehensive roadmap to enable accurate, standardized, and sophisticated financial performance metrics, working cross-functionally with Global Accounting, Reporting, Compliance, and FinTech Product and Engineering leadership. You will partner with executive stakeholders to design, implement, and scale end-to-end changes across complex financial ecosystems. Your performance is defined by your ability to drive significant business impact, institutionalize governance frameworks, and influence high-performing, cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

What the Candidate Will Do

This role is a unique opportunity mix of technology, consulting and project management. The role will require strong skills and experience in business process transformation and management; and needs close collaboration with Finance, Accounting and other partner teams to get a deep understanding of the business processes and system data flows.

Strategic Leadership & Governance

  • Vision & Roadmap: Articulate a long-term, comprehensive project roadmap that transforms core finance functions. Proactively identify opportunities for automation and AI-powered solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational and financial goals.
  • Governance Framework: Establish and lead governance frameworks to source, evaluate, and prioritize high-impact initiatives. Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance and Engineering.
  • Executive Communication: Act as the primary liaison to executive leadership. Synthesize complex technical and financial data into compelling narratives that drive data-informed decision-making.

Program Execution & Change Management

  • Complex Program Delivery: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of large-scale, cross-functional programs (e.g., ERP implementation, global migrations). Own the successful delivery of milestones, risk mitigation, and dependency management.
  • Transformation & Adoption: Direct comprehensive change management strategies. Design and execute Learning & Development (L&D) programs to drive organization-wide AI literacy, tool adoption, and process proficiency.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee strategic meetings and reporting cadences. Ensure rigorous accountability for action items, tracking KPIs/OKRs to quantify business impact and operational efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, technical operations, or data-driven project management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide strategy initiatives through all lifecycle stages (inception, design, implementation, and productionization).
  • Deep expertise in business process transformation, with a focus on digital enablement and AI integration within complex financial systems.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, cross-functional programs with direct accountability for outcomes.
  • Exceptional executive communication, storytelling, and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong perspective on the application of emerging technology (Gen AI, automation) in the finance domain.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master's in Finance, or related field).
  • Prior experience in technology implementation, change management, or organizational learning within a global finance context.
  • Deep understanding of core finance processes, ERP systems, and the financial data lifecycle.
  • Experience collaborating with technical and engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable technology solutions.
  • Big 4 experience (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) strongly preferred.

For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $122,000 per year - USD $135,000 per year.

You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
