Job description

Placement Type:
Temporary
Salary:
$30-34 Hourly
Start Date:
Oct 6, 2026
Aquent, a leader in connecting top talent with the world's biggest brands, is partnering with a prominent fashion and entertainment brand known for its influential presence and captivating campaigns. This is an extraordinary chance to be at the forefront of a major cultural moment, shaping how a beloved brand connects with its audience in real-time. If you're passionate about the dynamic intersection of social media, fashion, entertainment, and internet culture, this project offers a unique platform to make an immediate and tangible impact.
We are seeking experienced professionals to join a fast-moving social team, diving into the heart of a high-profile fashion and entertainment campaign. This concentrated opportunity will immerse you in real-time social conversation, where your insights and authentic engagement will bring the brand's personality to life. You'll play a crucial role in identifying emerging trends, sparking viral opportunities, and fostering a vibrant community that people genuinely want to be a part of. This project is perfect for a social media expert who understands Gen Z audiences, crafts exceptional social copy, and thrives during high-energy campaign moments.
What You'll Do
  • Own real-time community engagement across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube during a major fashion and entertainment campaign.
  • Proactively and reactively engage with customers, fans, creators, and talent across owned and user-generated content.
  • Monitor high-volume social conversation and quickly identify emerging trends, cultural moments, and engagement opportunities.
  • Jump into relevant conversations with timely, authentic, and brand-appropriate responses.
  • Identify standout creator content, fan moments, viral comments, and positive sentiment worth amplifying.
  • Maintain a consistent and engaging brand voice across social interactions.
  • Quickly assess tone, context, and sentiment to determine the right response.
  • Escalate sensitive conversations or emerging issues when appropriate.
  • Partner closely with Social and Community teams to maintain seamless campaign coverage.
  • Surface meaningful community insights, trends, questions, and consumer feedback.
  • Support post-campaign reporting by identifying notable engagement, viral moments, sentiment trends, and community insights.
  • Use social listening and community tools to uncover relevant posts, creators, conversations, and emerging opportunities.

What We're Looking For
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience managing social media or community engagement for a brand.
  • Strong experience writing and engaging on behalf of a brand-not simply managing a personal social account.
  • Excellent social copywriting skills and an ability to quickly adapt to an established brand voice.
  • Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and the broader social landscape, including trends, platform behaviors, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of Gen Z culture and communication styles and what makes brand engagement feel authentic rather than forced.
  • Experience working independently and confidently making day-to-day community decisions.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume, real-time environment.
  • Strong judgment when evaluating sentiment and determining when a conversation should be escalated.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple conversations at once.
  • A proactive, self-starter mentality-you see an opportunity and know how to jump in.
  • Interest in fashion, beauty, entertainment, pop culture, and digital communities.

You'll Stand Out If You Have
  • Experience managing social for a brand with a Gen Z and/or female-focused audience.
  • Owned a brand social channel.
  • Worked in a dedicated community management role.
  • Supported major launches or live cultural moments.
  • Strong experience developing brand voice and social response guidelines.
  • Experience with social listening, publishing, or community management platforms (experience with equivalent tools is transferable).

This is a two-week project designed around a major October campaign moment. Expect approximately 20 hours per week, with scheduled coverage spanning a mix of business hours, evenings, and weekends. Rather than a traditional long-term community management assignment, this is a concentrated opportunity to work on a highly visible campaign where social conversation moves quickly and your contributions can have an immediate impact. We are looking for experienced community managers who can jump in quickly, work autonomously, and start contributing from day one.
