Job description

Position Overview

Chat and Change Counseling, LLC is looking for a licensed mental health therapist to join our dedicated team as we provide vital mental health services to individuals recovering from trauma. This remote full-time position allows you to engage in meaningful work focused on healing and resilience building for diverse clients.

About the Organization

At Chat and Change Counseling, LLC, we prioritize providing a safe, welcoming environment for trauma survivors. Our outpatient practice specializes in offering support for conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We strive to deliver individualized, evidence-based therapies that empower our patients in their recovery journeys. Our team is committed to continuous learning and maintaining a trauma-informed approach that promotes dignity and respect for all clients.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, enabling you to work from the comfort of your own home while actively participating in a supportive and collaborative team environment. Our therapists enjoy a flexible work schedule designed to accommodate their individual needs while ensuring timely and effective care to patients. With a commitment to professional growth, you will have access to continuing education and access to the latest research in therapy methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and identify personalized treatment goals.
  • Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans emphasizing trauma recovery, resilience, and coping strategies.
  • Utilize effective therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for all clients.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention and support to clients in acute distress or trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources within the community.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential client records in alignment with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Engage in case consultations, participate in team meetings, and contribute to discussions centered on trauma-informed care practices.
  • Commit to ongoing personal and professional development related to trauma therapy, keeping abreast of advanced methodologies and findings.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse group of clients, primarily focusing on those who have experienced various forms of trauma. This includes individuals dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your work will provide critical support and psychotherapy aimed at facilitating healing for both adolescents and adults. This role is essential in helping clients develop resilience and coping strategies to empower them in their recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.
  • Possess a strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the capacity for empathy and a non-judgmental approach.
  • Ability to navigate high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.
  • Experienced in using EHR systems and other computer applications relevant to therapy practice.
  • Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to enhance client outcomes.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with less experience but strong passion and commitment to trauma-informed care are encouraged to apply. Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies will be a significant asset as you join our practice.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:

  • A comprehensive healthcare benefits package to support your well-being.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to prepare you for the future.
  • Generous paid time off and holiday pay to ensure work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage, providing you with peace of mind.
  • Ongoing support for continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Opportunities for career advancement within our trauma-informed practice.
  • A collaborative and nurturing work culture that values each team member’s contributions.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Chat and Change Counseling, LLC, we believe in the importance of professional development and career growth. You will have access to continuous training, mentorship, and leadership opportunities that align with your interests and career aspirations. We encourage our therapists to pursue advanced certifications and specializations in trauma therapy, enhancing your expertise and practice.

Why Join Our Team

You will be part of a compassionate team committed to providing exceptional care and making a lasting impact in the lives of our clients.
