Job description

Experienced Appointment Setter – 1099 Independent Contractor (Remote)

Our client is a company operating in the timeshare relief space, helping consumers get out of unwanted timeshare contracts. (Company name will be shared during the initial screening.) We're growing the outbound team and looking for an experienced Appointment Setter to help connect qualified prospects with the company's Case Analysts.

About the Role

As an independent contractor, you'll initiate outbound contact with potential clients by phone, introduce the company's services, and schedule appointments for the company's Case Analysts. This role is central to qualifying leads, building rapport quickly, and turning prospects into confirmed, show-ready appointments.

We're looking for someone who thrives on performance metrics, enjoys the challenge of engaging cold and warm prospects, and knows how to create urgency without being pushy. Your main goal: convert outbound leads into scheduled appointments, and make sure every prospect shows up informed and ready for a productive conversation.

This is NOT an entry-level role. We're looking for someone who already knows how to handle objections and close for the appointment — not someone learning the fundamentals on the job.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound Prospecting: Make outbound calls and send follow-up emails/texts to prospective clients.
  • Lead Qualification: Confirm leads meet the company's qualification criteria before scheduling.
  • Objection Handling: Address initial objections with the goal of securing the appointment.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate calendar appointments between prospects and Case Analysts.
  • CRM Management: Log accurate, timely notes on every interaction.
  • Performance Tracking: Work toward appointment-setting targets and report on your activity regularly.

Skills We're Looking For

  • Communication: Clearly and persuasively explain the company's services to prospects.
  • Rapport & Sales Instinct: Build interest and trust quickly, even on cold calls.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage and follow up on leads to keep the funnel moving.
  • Organization: Stay on top of call volume, follow-ups, and appointment targets without hand-holding.
  • Tech Comfort: Confident using CRM software, digital calendars, and meeting/video tools.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 2+ years of experience in appointment setting, telemarketing, inside sales, or lead generation — required.
  • Proven track record of outbound calling and objection handling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule to hit performance goals (as an independent contractor, you control your hours and methods).
  • Reliable computer, internet connection, and quiet workspace for calls.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and comfortable with commission-based pay.

How Performance Is Measured

  • Outbound calls made per day
  • Lead-to-qualified-appointment conversion rate
  • Appointment show rate
  • Appointment-to-signed-agreement conversion rate
  • CRM data accuracy
  • Follow-up compliance (calls, emails, texts)
  • Response time to new leads

Compensation

  • Training period (first 2 weeks): $1,000/week flat.
  • After training: Commission-only pay structure. On-target earnings are $6,000–$10,000/month ($70K–$120K annualized) for setters hitting target performance.
  • Monthly bonus for maintaining a high lead-to-appointment conversion rate.

How to Apply

Email your updated resume highlighting relevant telemarketing, appointment setting, or cold calling experience.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. You'll be responsible for your own tax withholding, and you'll have flexibility in how you structure your work to meet performance targets.
