Their responsibilities typically include sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating the hiring process, all within a set contract period. Temporary recruiters help companies efficiently fill positions without the commitment of hiring a permanent HR staff member. They bring flexibility and expertise to organizations looking to quickly scale or manage fluctuating recruitment demands.

To thrive as a Temporary Recruiter, you need a solid understanding of talent acquisition, candidate screening, and employment law, usually supported by experience in recruiting or HR. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter is typically required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, adaptability, and strong organizational abilities help build relationships with both candidates and hiring managers. These skills ensure efficient hiring processes, effective candidate placement, and the ability to quickly meet organizational staffing needs.

How does a temporary recruiter typically collaborate with hiring managers during the recruitment process?

As a Temporary Recruiter, you will work closely with hiring managers to understand their specific talent needs and the nuances of each open position.
