Description
Works in direction conjunction with the Buyers to monitor, control coordinate and expedite as necessary the delivery of materials ordered. The primary function is to ensure that delivery of material is consistent with the end users need and to report; on variances so that appropriate work around can be establish.
• Contacts vendors and obtains information regarding delivery, material availability, shipping conformation and mode of transportation
• Updates the on-line Purchase Order with appropriate will ship information
• Notifies the Buyer and Planner of any variances that would impact the schedule
• Reviews the daily Receiving Report and updates files accordingly
• Assists in resolving non-receivable material problems
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Confer with engineering, technical or manufacturing personnel
• Use computers to enter, access or retrieve data
