The Role This is a casual Temporary Project Support Role with the Mental Health Team. We are looking for a current NWP Student to work on our Recovery On Campus projects throughout the upcoming academic year. Recovery On Campus is committed to supporting all recovery pathways, building community, and reducing addiction stigma for students and employees.

Recovery on Campus, originating at the University of Calgary, is being supported at post-secondary institutions across the province and we are looking to expand our activities related to this framework. The time commitment is approximately 10 hours per week.The successful candidate will have a high school diploma and currently be enrolled at NWP as a student in good standing. The ideal candidate is one who identifies as being in recovery from substance use and/or behavioral addictions, or as a strong ally (e.g

supporting a friend or family member in recovery). They are passionate about student wellbeing and bring creativity, professionalism and empathy to their work. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include: Experience speaking with individuals and groups about mental health, substance use, recovery, and related topics affecting young adults or student populations would be an asset.

Familiarity with the campus environment and awareness of available student services and supports. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with diverse groups and perspectives.

Respect for diversity in its broadest sense, including gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, faith, age, and ability. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Demonstrated professionalism, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Ability to balance academic commitments with role responsibilities. Access to a reliable internet connection and a personal computer for remote work. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access).
