Position Responsibilities:
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) leader for air gateway and ramp/ground operations in terms of regulatory compliance items, investigations, weight and balance, Quality Assurance, and maintaining the integrity of the Ramp Load Verification Process. Own and develop PMV content for ramp standards. Integrate ramp operations into AIR's ground operations manual and develop long-term AIR ramp ops strategy. Develop scalable, automation-centric business tools for integrating ramp operations, to include processes for vetting air carrier requirements and internal AIR standards. Project manage ramp-related initiatives, simplify existing processes, and develop global standards for AIR's global network. Work with teams in corporate, ramp/ground operations teams, aircraft weight and balance, aviation training, partner air carriers, and other ground operation stakeholders to develop scalable long-term AIR program improvements. Create and report on metrics and write program/project business and safety communications to improve compliance. Research and understand business/customer needs to develop a long-term program development plan, including drafting pmv procedures, developing standup training mechanisms, and writing whitepapers.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Aviation Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have three years of experience in the following skill(s): (1) program or project management, including owning strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership; (2) using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements; (3) implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization; (4) experience with an aviation cargo operations or Part 121 air carrier program; and (5) experience in ground/ramp leadership, aviation training, or air cargo.
