Position: Temporary Project Coordinator
Hours: This is a part-time position (20 hours per week/ some nights/weekends)
Pay: $25.00 per hour

Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Part-time Project Coordinator for the Evanston campus.
Temporary Job Description:
Purpose: The project coordinator will support the physical and environmental conditions of common areas and event management activities at 2001 Sheridan.
Responsibilities:
  • Assists Provost Office staff with administrative tasks and support services for building occupants.
  • Assists building occupants with submitting tickets and requests to NUIT as needed for desktop or AV support.
  • Facilities Management (FM) Requests and Repairs:
  • Conveys facilities questions and concerns from building occupants to FM Customer Service/Facilities Connect.
  • Notifies building occupants of maintenance issues and projects.
  • Common Area/Event Space Management:
  • Manages and approves non-class requests for meeting rooms and event spaces in 25Live.
  • Coordinates and supervises set-up/clean-up of building areas, equipment, and furniture for events held in dedicated event spaces.
  • May require event attendance.
  • Meets with event sponsors as needed to facilitate their event planning.
  • Coordinates with building occupants on maintenance/upkeep of common areas.
  • Conducts regular facility tours to ensure common and shared spaces are safe and clean for all building occupants and visitors.
  • Assists with inventory/tracking of furniture in shared meeting spaces and classrooms.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
A high school diploma or equivalent required
Previous events management experience
Great attention to detail
Good communication skills
Knowledge of Office Suite/computers/software
Ability to work independently
Additional Needs
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Availability for nights and weekends.
In addition to salary, this temporary position is eligible for paid time off and paid sick time in accordance with Northwestern University policies. This position is not eligible for other benefits offered to regular staff positions.
