Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Onsite in Alvin, TX; hybrid/remote schedule subject to negotiation.
Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.
Required:
  • Availability to work at the Client's site in Alvin, TX (hybrid/remote subject to negotiation)
  • Experience with construction project management
  • Experience with facilities renovation and capital improvement projects
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems upgrades
  • Experience with fire protection system upgrades
  • Experience with technology and security systems upgrades
  • Experience with building envelope upgrades
  • Experience with Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery method
  • Experience with construction document development, plans, and specifications
  • Experience with project scheduling and budgeting
  • Experience with quality control and quality assurance
  • Experience with contract negotiations and contract compliance
  • Experience with cost estimation and review of statements of probable cost
  • Experience with professional liability or errors and omissions insurance ($1,000,000 minimum per occurrence; if carrying higher limits, please state in submission)
  • Experience with comparable project experience - higher education, community college, K-12, public sector, or capital improvement projects in non-educational facilities; all experience will be considered

Responsibilities:
  • Function as Owner's Representative with QA/QC oversight; no active daily field direction of trades
  • Act as Owner's Representative during the CMAR Pre-Construction phase
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple construction projects
  • Assist with development of construction documents, plans, and specifications during the design and construction phase of projects
  • Assist with bidding process, contract execution, construction management, and contract compliance for multiple construction projects
  • Coordinate project scheduling and budgeting
  • Review statements of probable cost provided by architects and engineers
  • Assist with contractor or trade selection and cost estimates provided by construction managers-at-risk
  • Assist with contract negotiations as needed
  • Propose and implement project management tools, scheduling software, and reporting templates
