Job description

Responsibilities*
The University of Michigan, School of Nursing is currently seeking a Research Assistant to assist and support a faculty team on a grant funded project to:
  1. Develop and launch a formal Health Policy Concentration and a parallel DNP policy pathway.
  2. Expand access to health policy education and advocacy opportunities across programs.
  3. Foster belonging and leadership among nursing students and promote evidence-based curricular innovation.

The specific duties of the position include (but are not limited to):
  • Assisting with a literature review
  • Recruitment & outreach for focus groups
  • Communications with study participants
  • Scheduling focus groups
  • General administrative support of the project, data collection, analysis, and dissemination

Required Qualifications*
Applicants must be a current graduate student, preferably in nursing or other health related discipline. The student must be available for regular meetings (in person or virtual). The student should exhibit attention to detail, an interest in research, an ability to work independently and a willingness to learn more about the process for professional scholarly writing for publication.
