About Your Role

CMTS is seeking an experienced Senior Project Scheduler (Primavera P6) to support municipal utility capital projects in Seattle, Washington. The Senior Project Scheduler will develop, maintain, and analyze Critical Path Method schedules for projects delivered through an on-call task-order model. Assignments may include planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project closeout. This position will provide owner-side schedule oversight, review contractor and consultant schedules, prepare monthly schedule updates, conduct delay analyses, and support stronger

cost and schedule integration.


Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelors degree preferred


What Youll Need to Get the Job

  • At least eight years of CPM scheduling experience on public infrastructure capital projects
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6
  • Experience developing and maintaining schedules for planning, design, and construction projects
  • Experience performing owner-side schedule reviews and construction schedule oversight
  • Working knowledge of cost loading, resource loading, and performance measurement concepts
  • Experience developing schedule baselines and managing baseline change control
  • Ability to prepare monthly updates, critical path narratives, variance analyses, and executive reports
  • Experience evaluating contractor and consultant schedules
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check


Preferred Qualifications

  • AACE Planning and Scheduling Professional certification
  • PMI Scheduling Professional certification
  • Experience supporting water, wastewater, conveyance, drainage, or utility facility projects
  • Experience working in Primavera P6 EPPM environments
  • Familiarity with integrated cost and schedule reporting systems
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management principles
  • Experience supporting municipal infrastructure and public works capital improvement programs


What Youll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain Critical Path Method schedules for municipal utility capital projects
  • Support projects across planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout
  • Build cost-loaded and resource-loaded schedules in Primavera P6
  • Develop schedule baselines and document schedule assumptions and methodologies
  • Manage baseline change control and maintain accurate schedule records
  • Prepare monthly schedule updates and progress reports
  • Develop critical path narratives, variance analyses, executive dashboards, and recovery recommendations
  • Review contractor and consultant schedules for contractual compliance and technical accuracy
  • Perform schedule quality reviews using DCMA 14-point-style assessments
  • Validate schedule logic, activity relationships, durations, constraints, calendars, and float
  • Conduct Time Impact Analyses and support delay evaluations
  • Provide schedule-related support for change-order negotiations and claims avoidance
  • Identify schedule risks and recommend corrective actions
  • Support Earned Value Management implementation through properly structured cost loading
  • Integrate scheduling information with project controls, cost-management, and reporting systems
  • Maintain schedule data standards, including calendars, activity codes, layouts, filters, and reporting views
  • Facilitate schedule review meetings with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and owner representatives
  • Communicate technical scheduling findings to both technical and executive audiences
  • Manage multiple task orders and competing deadlines within an on-call consulting environment
  • Support continuous improvement of scheduling procedures, reporting standards, and project-controls practices


Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced Primavera P6 and CPM scheduling proficiency
  • Strong understanding of logic development, float analysis, resource leveling, and milestone management
  • Ability to develop cost-loaded and resource-loaded schedules
  • Experience with schedule QA/QC and schedule health assessments
  • Knowledge of Time Impact Analysis, delay analysis, and forensic scheduling
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management and performance measurement baselines
  • Ability to prepare executive dashboards and detailed schedule reports
  • Knowledge of design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover sequencing
  • Ability to interpret construction contracts, scheduling specifications, and owner standards
  • Strong problem-solving and risk-analysis abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Experience with Oracle Primavera, Primavera P6 EPPM, and integrated project-controls platforms
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams


Compensation
