Apartment Groundskeepers / Porters
Essential Staffing Solutions (ESS) is actively hiring Groundskeepers and Porters to keep apartment communities clean, safe, and beautiful. These entry-level roles are perfect for HVAC students or anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in multifamily maintenance and start a long-term career in the industry.
We are looking for energetic, positive individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy making a visible impact on the community.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness and curb appeal of the apartment community
  • Pick up trash and debris throughout the property including breezeways, parking lots, and common areas
  • Keep dumpster areas clean and organized
  • Blow off sidewalks, walkways, and curbs using property equipment
  • Assist with cleaning signage, entrances, and amenity areas
  • Remove cobwebs from breezeways and entry doors
  • Maintain trimmed shrubs and clean mulch beds as needed
  • Support maintenance team with general upkeep tasks
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report issues when needed
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents and staff
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous groundskeeping, porter, or maintenance experience is a plus.
