Job Summary

The Environmental Service Porter supports the Environmental Services Department by transporting materials, equipment, and waste throughout the hospital while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. This role plays a vital part in hospital operations, infection prevention, and patient satisfaction by ensuring timely, safe, and efficient support services.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Prior porter, housekeeping, environmental services, or hospital support experience preferred

  • Healthcare facility experience strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and proper waste handling

  • Understanding of infection control principles preferred

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Physical stamina to perform duties throughout the shift

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, if applicable

Physical Requirements
