What are Temporary Port Engineers?

Temporary Port Engineers are marine engineering professionals who are hired on a short-term basis to manage and oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of vessels while they are in port. Their responsibilities include coordinating repairs, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and liaising between ship crews, contractors, and port authorities. Temporary Port Engineers are often brought in to fill gaps during peak seasons, special projects, or when permanent staff are unavailable.
