  • Employment Type: Locum tenens (temporary physician assignment)
  • Schedule: Weekdays, full 24-hour shifts (7a–7a)
  • Patient Encounters per Shift: 2–3
Required Qualifications
  • MD or DO with Board Certification in Urology (Urologist)
  • Active ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in urology practice
  • Fellowship training preferred (uro-oncology, reconstructive, pediatric urology, endourology)
  • Ability to obtain Massachusetts medical licensure (Massachusetts medical license required for practice)
Urology Physician Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive urology care for adult and pediatric patients; neonatal experience is preferred
  • Perform general urology procedures and advanced endoscopic, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted surgeries
  • Manage major cases including nephrectomy, prostatectomy, radical cystectomy, pelvic node dissection, and adrenalectomy
  • Conduct renal and bladder ultrasounds, TRUS biopsies, and fertility work-ups
  • Perform incontinence procedures, penile prosthesis placement, ESWL, and renal transplant surgeries
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality perioperative and inpatient urologic care
