Job description

Order Picker
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Order Picker for a company based in Decatur, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to accurately select, prepare, and stage products for delivery to customers. 

Pay Rate 
$15.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours 
Must work on Sunday and off one day during the week and Saturday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm or until the job is complete for the day.

Order Picker Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pick customer orders accurately using pick lists or handheld scanning devices.
  • Organize and stage products for route deliveries according to delivery schedules.
  • Verify product quantities and inspect items for quality and expiration dates.
  • Rotate stock using FIFO inventory practices.
  • Restock inventory and assist receiving shipments as needed.
Order Picker Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, order picking, distribution, or restaurant or hospitality experience.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods of time. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
