Job description

Title: Optical Manufacturing Technician - Final Assembly
Pay Rate Range: $43/hr.
Benefits include health, dental, and vision (eligible on the 1st of the month following 60 days your start date).
Employment Type: Contract - 2 years
Est. End Date: 9/15/2028
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm) - OT Expected

Keysight's Semiconductor Infrastructure Solutions Division is seeking an Optical Manufacturing Technician. The selected candidate will follow manufacturing process plans, specifications, and established procedures to assemble, align and test Keysight's optical interferometer family of products.
Responsibilities:
-Optical Test and Alignment Technicians require a mix of technical knowledge in photonics or physics, hands-on experience with precision optical components, and proficiency in alignment, testing, and measurement tools.
-Follow optical cementing procedures to complete optic-to-optic and optic-to-metal assemblies
-Assemble and align optics using custom, high-precision mechanical tooling and fixtures
-Use optical test equipment (Fizeau interferometers, autocollimators, power meters, oscilloscopes, microscopes) to conduct both in-process and final testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
-Run test SW and applications and input test data into Excel spreadsheets. Proficient computer skills are required for this position.
-Transport test and product fixtures weighing up to 40 lbs from storage to production areas and back.
-Inspect and handle delicate and small precision optical components to prevent surface quality issues such as digs, chips and scratches
Qualifications:
-High School Diploma
-Minimum 3- 5 years' experience working in optical test and alignment, including troubleshooting and repair of optical systems.
-Ability to work in a Class 1000 cleanroom.
-Proficiency with optical tools and instruments including autocollimators and Fizeau interferometers.
-Capable to lift heavy tooling up to 40 lbs.
-Strong background working with computers including running technical applications, performing data entry into MS Excel and general Windows-based skillset (copy/paste files, etc).
-Ability to work individually in a team setting with other technicians and engineers.
-Ability to cross-train in a flexible manufacturing cell environment.
-Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities
-Strong understanding of optical principles and systems.
