As a Security Officer Full Time Access Administration in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access activity to support a secure environment. You will maintain a professional presence, help to deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue temporary access materials, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the facility perimeter, access points, and restricted areas, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Support a professional, orderly environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and documenting security-related incidents and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least six months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
