Puget Sound Home Health and Hospice is seeking an experienced and caring full or part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our Home Health division in the Pierce County area!

Position: Full-Time (or part-time) Home Health CNA

**A home health CNA cares for multiple patients (5-6) daily, spending shorter periods with each rather than long shifts with just one or two patients.

  • Must have CNA experience in a Home Health or Hospice agency

Location: Pierce County
Schedule: Day Shifts Only (No Nights)
Care Setting: Patient Homes, Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs), Adult Family Homes (AFHs)

Job Summary

As a Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you'll provide personal care and supportive services to patients in their homes and other care settings. You'll work closely with the nursing team to ensure comfort, dignity, and quality of life for our patients.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide one-on-one care to multiple patients every day in their home settings, with visit-based scheduling (not extended or shift-based care).
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
  • Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure)
  • Assist with range-of-motion exercises and mobility support
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the patient's living space
  • Observe and report changes in the patient's condition to the case manager
  • Follow the plan of care as directed by a registered nurse or therapist

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Washington State
  • Must have CNA experience in a Home Health or Hospice agency
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
  • EMR: Experience with HCHB preferred
  • Valid driver's license and insured, reliable vehicle
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Compassionate, dependable, and comfortable working with elderly or terminally ill individuals
