Experience Required:

Function
The Title I Private Nonprofit (PNP) Tutor works directly with Title I eligible students at the assigned nonpublic facility. The Private Nonprofit Title I Tutor is responsible for teaching, coaching and evaluating skill levels for eligible students served. Duties include scheduling, providing services and assessing students during the school day at the assigned nonpublic facility. The Title I Private Nonprofit Tutor reports directly to Title I Administration staff and the Principal or Director at the assigned nonpublic facility. Continuation of this position is dependent upon annual funding.

Title I Administration/Nonpublic Campus Principal or Director
Reponsibilities:
  • Designs and implements learning strategies to improve fundamental or developing skills in reading and math for eligible Title I students at PNP schools/facilities.
  • Creates and maintains part-time student service schedule to meet the needs of eligible Title I students at the PNP campus/facility.
  • Provides additional reinforcement and practice of skill deficiencies and acquisition in reading and math through one-on-one or small group instruction using alternative methods and materials/equipment.
  • Provides personalized assessment-based instruction and additional practice time on identified skills, concepts, and strategies for eligible Title I students at PNP campus/facility.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating eligible Title I student progress by reporting achievement and assessment scores to campus principal/director and Title I personnel.
  • Manages, accurately completes, and submits the monthly student attendance and parent contact log reports in an orderly and timely manner to meet all deadlines.
  • Documents all parent Title I communication with eligible Title I students participating in the program at the assigned PNP campus/facility.
  • Responsible for the inventory, care and overseeing a check out system of all Title I materials and equipment at the assigned PNP campus/facility.
  • Communicates effectively in oral and written forms with students, PNP staff, parents/guardians, and Title I personnel.
  • Demonstrates initiative and follows through in the performance of duties.
  • Follows District guidelines, procedures and rules and regulations of assigned PNP campus/facility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the principal and/or Title I personnel.
