DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY

Daytona International Speedway is a state-of-the-art motorsports facility and was awarded the SportsBusiness Journal's prestigious Sports Business Award for Sports Facility of the Year in 2016. Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" - the DAYTONA 500. Though the prestigious season-opening NASCAR Cup Series event garners most of the attention - as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the approximately 500-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." Among the nine major weekends of racing activity are the Rolex 24 At DAYTONA, the DAYTONA Supercross, the DAYTONA 200 motorcycle classic and the Coke Zero Sugar 400. Rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include track tours, concerts, civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo shoots, production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.

Daytona International Speedway seeks seasonal part time event workers in the position ofTram Fan Crew -Riders and Attendants. Event Tram Riders and Attendants are an important part of the Daytona experience. As a member of the Fan Crew, you will be responsible for bringing our guests an unforgettable racing experience. Fan Crew will work select publicly ticketed events throughout the year.

Event Tram Rider and Attendant is a seasonal/temporary event based position. Shifts range from 8-15 hours and will vary depending on specific event needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Ride on tram to ensure guests remain seated while the tram is in motion

  • Assist guests as necessary and as directed by the tram plaza supervisors when loading and unloading at tram plazas

  • Alert the driver immediately upon observing any unsafe movement of guests or incidents jeopardizing fan safety, equipment malfunction or failure

  • Rider must make PA announcements and play the designated PA message for each segment.

  • May be assigned to work as a plaza attendant or gate guard as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be friendly, enthusiastic, personable, and reliable

  • Customer service experience preferred

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Must learn quickly and be trainable

  • Ability to work in a faced paced & high stress environment

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Ability to work outside in variable seasonal weather conditions

  • Ability to work with others and take direction

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as assigned

  • Must follow dress code and have a clean, presentable appearance at all times
