Join our team at The Emerge Center as a Temporary Medical Billing Specialist! This exciting opportunity in Baton Rouge will allow you to actively contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care to individuals with autism. As an integral part of our team, you will have the chance to apply your skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic work environment. Your role will involve handling administrative tasks, scheduling appointments, and supporting our medical staff in delivering top-notch services to our patients.

Medical Billing Specialist
  • Processed Speech Therapy, ABA, and Occupational Therapy billing packets to ensure accurate claim submission and reimbursement.
  • Reviewed, sorted, and verified charge tickets for completeness and compliance prior to processing.
  • Entered, pushed, and monitored charges through billing systems, ensuring timely and accurate claims management.
  • Scanned, uploaded, and maintained electronic patient billing documentation using E-Bridge and desktop scanning systems.
  • Assisted with Revenue Cycle (RQ) reporting by tracking billing activity and supporting claim reconciliation efforts.
  • Coordinated with MedData and Medtron teams to provide required billing information and resolve documentation inquiries.
  • Verified insurance, patient, and treatment information to ensure all necessary data was included before charge submission.
  • Supported clinic scheduling operations and administrative functions to maintain efficient patient workflow.
  • Maintained accurate electronic records and ensured compliance with organizational billing procedures.
  • Collaborated with clinical and administrative staff to meet departmental deadlines and improve operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with healthcare billing software, electronic medical records (EMR), data entry, and document management systems.
  • Assisted in workflow optimization while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
