Summer Medical Support (RN or LPN)
Assignment Dates: 3-4 months, through September 2026
Wage Dependent on Qualification:
- LPN: $30-$40/hr
- RN: $40-$50/hr
Seward Community Health Center (SCHC) is seeking a seasonal/locum Medical professional for our clinic in beautiful Seward, Alaska. We will consider RN or LPN qualifications for this role.
In your free time (no on-call hours here!) explore all Seward and Alaska has to offer. Camping, kayaking, pickle ball, boating, fishing, hiking, biking and 4-wheeling are just a few of the adventures to be had. Hiking trails are everywhere and we’re located next to Exit Glacier and Kenai National Fjords Park.
Hours are set to meet the needs of the community, Monday - Friday, five days of 8 hour shifts, may include holidays.
Additional benefits includes shared housing (if available, see HR). Candidates are responsible to provide their own transportation to and from work and their own travel to AK.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (to the level of your qualification): As part of the medical team
- Provide urgent/walk-in care, including rooming, pre-screening, and meeting with patients
- Assist in assessing, diagnosing and treating acute illnesses
- Assist in helping patients manage the symptoms of chronic health problems on their travels
- Carry out basic primary medical care procedures as appropriate
- Follow the treatment plan and assist with appropriate follow-up
- Refer to specialists as needed , or effectively transfer referral to Clinic
- Educate patients about the diagnosis, treatment plan, and preventive policies and procedures as appropriate
