Job Description

The UW MEDICAL CENTER – NORTHWEST - OPERATING ROOMS have an outstanding opportunity for an OR Assistant .

WORK SCHEDULE

• Full-Time / 40 Hours Per Week

• Day Shift (0900-1730)

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• Be responsible for assisting with room turnover, housekeeping duties in the assigned area of the OR, transportation of patients, and transport of specimens

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in cleaning and preparing surgical suite

• Assist in establishing par levels for ancillary supplies

• Transport, and assist with repositioning and/or transfer of patients

• Ensure safety of the patient in the environment (bed positioning and rails, etc.)

• Deliver specimens and transports blood products

Strong candidates will have CNA certification within the State of Washington and prior intraoperative experience as an aide or orderly, or hospital housekeeping experience.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduate or GED equivalent
