Job description

Trustpoint is pleased to be partnering with a New York City based regional law firm in their search for a Temporary Legal Research Analyst. If you are passionate about the future of transportation and mobility innovation and would like to shape policy and business strategies, read on.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work across some of the most exciting areas in transportation and technology, including:
  • Shared Mobility
  • Electric Vehicles (EVs)
  • Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs)
  • Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS)
  • Urban Air Mobility (UAM)

The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical and research capabilities with a deep interest in transportation policy, emerging mobility technologies, and market trends. This role involves significant client interaction and collaboration with technology startups, academic institutions, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
What You'll Do
As a Temporary Legal Research Analyst, you will:
? Conduct research and data analysis on a wide range of transportation and mobility issues
? Collect, organize, interpret, and analyze data using statistical methods and analytical tools
? Develop insights and recommendations that support desirable mobility and transportation outcomes
? Create compelling reports, presentations, and data visualizations for clients and stakeholders
? Identify and evaluate new data sources and research methodologies
? Support policy, market, and strategic research initiatives across mobility sectors
? Collaborate with team members and clients to solve complex transportation challenges
? Contribute to best practices and analytical frameworks that advance innovation within the mobility industry
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Academic or professional background in: Urban planning, Transportation planning or engineering, data analytics or public administration.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate large amounts of information with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent research, writing, presentation, organizational, and planning skills

Preferred
  • Experience as a Research Analyst, Policy Analyst, or similar role
  • Experience working with transportation agencies, government entities, public policy organizations, or transportation-related businesses
  • Experience conducting market analysis and industry research
  • Educational or professional experience related to mobility, transportation, law, or legal studies
